About MNS
Madras Naturalists' Society grew out
of a common interest from a group of people interested
in nature. Over the years, the Society has conducted nature walks, training camps and workshops,
performed surveys and attempted to popularize appreciation for nature.

MNS is a non-profit organisation, based in Chennai (formerly Madras).
This website provides a introduction to our activities, and how one takes part in them. The website also attempts to
be a resource for all nature and conservation related activities, particularly relevant to Chennai and surrounding
areas.
A lot many members of MNS are birdwatchers. There are professional ornithologists, and keen hobbyists. There are
also people interested in varied areas like trees, insects, renewable enery etc.
