Birdwatching or birding is the observation and study of birds, as opposed to ornithology which is a formal study of birds. Bird watching is a very relaxing and yet exciting pastime.
Birding can be done with the help of a pair of binoculars or a spotting scope, but many birders can identify birds by just hearing their calls, observing their silhouettes or their flight patterns.
